Director of Operations -- Victoreen, Inc (a manufacturer of Medical Devices, Quality Assurance devices for the Diagnostic Imaging Industry as well as radiation monitoring in other markets) 1988 to 1998.
Managed manufacturing of medical devices, recalibration and repair center and materials management

Using Lean Concepts and Process Reengineering, developed an Order Fulfillment Process Team.  Reduced order entry errors by 55%, and order packing errors by 65%, using techniques such as process mapping, root cause analysis, and training focused on customer service and process control.

Reduced order fulfillment time on a custom product from 16 weeks to 4 weeks using advanced manufacturing techniques such as revising production floor layout, integrating QC testing as part of the line, improved failure analysis, appropriate lot sizing (significantly reduced) and employee training.

Applied Visual Factory Techniques to low volume instrument production.  Along with other improvements, reduced Work in Process (WIP) by 65%.

Plant and Site manager for materials, production and packaging of a bulk pharmaceutical operation employing 90

As Plant Manager of a Bulk Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Facility, improved yield on raw materials by 50% while passing 2 FDA audits without a written finding.

Improved yield on raw materials by 45%, mitigating the need for further plant expansion.

Also held titles of Laboratory Manager, QA Manager, Operations Manager and Production Superintendent in other divisions of BOC.
